Concept Design for the Property Re-Development 

The members approved the Concept Design for re-development of the building and lands of Weston Park Baptist Church and Weston Park Outreach Ministries. The next step is to present the concept design to the City of Toronto for approval. (More detail in meeting minutes)

New Deacons 

We are so excited to welcome our newest deacons Darcy Mohr, Marjorie Richards and Muyiwa Falope. What a wonderful and spiritual group of servants, please keep them in your prayers as they seek to assist in ministry to and through our church family. 

Sale of 1844 Weston Road 

An update was shared with church regarding a change in the offer to purchase the 1844 Weston property. The sale is conditional on Castlepoint completing their due-diligence. As part of their due-diligence, Castlepoint conducted soil testing on the property which established that there is substantial soil contamination. (More detail in the meeting minutes)

Other Business (from the floor) 

  • It was suggested Deacons should serve set terms of office. 
  • It was requested that when new deacons are proposed to the membership, voting should be done on an individual basis.
