The beauty of Psalm 62 is that the poet has complete trust in God even though he/she is passing through stressful and challenging times. God is seen (and experienced) as a refuge amidst the storms of life and as a result the singer lives under the horizon of hope rather than despair. To this end the writer encourages us to maintain our focus upon the power and steadfast love of God and not be dissuaded by the inevitable potholes that hinder our passageway.
