Here's How it Works

There's a place for absolutely everyone to serve.

The Drive is in the works now and will culminate with the collecting of food from the Weston neighbourhood on December 1st.

Weston Neighbours

If you'd like to donate to the food drive, it's easy! Here's how:

  1. Watch for the Bag Drop: Volunteers will deliver empty bags to homes in the Weston area  between November 17 &  November 25. Watch for a paper bag at or near to your front door. Fill the bag with non-perishable food items and leave it out for collection on the designated day.

  2. Drop-off Location: If you'd prefer, you can drop off your food donation directly at Weston Park Baptist Church (1871 Weston Rd.) during the food drive on Sunday Dec. 1 or at the WAES Food Bank directly.

  3. Monetary Donations: If you'd rather contribute financially, you can make a monetary donation to support WAES directly through CanadaHelps - WAES.

Thank you for your generosity in supporting families in need! Every donation makes a difference.
What does WAES need?

For over 30 years, Weston Park Baptist Church has been organizing a community food drive to support our neighbors in Weston.  Each year, with the help of more than 100 volunteers and donations from local residents, we gather food that is distributed by the WAES (Weston Area Emergency Service) Food Bank to people who need the support in Weston.

Volunteers deliver empty bags to thousands of homes in the Weston area. On the day of the food drive, we drive throughout the neighbourhood to collect donations and bring them back to the church to be sorted and packed, ready for WAES. We’re thankful for the support of Iglesia Andonai and Iglesia Bautista Weston Park (churches that share our building) as well as the many volunteers who help sort and pack the food.

WAES volunteers finish things off doing a final check and pack of the food before taking it up to Central United  Church where the food is given out.  The collective effort of  so many volunteers and the generous contributions from the Weston neighbourhood helps hundreds of families and inividuals each year.

The Annual Food Drive is a true community effort, and we’re so grateful for everyone who contributes to making it a meaningful tradition of care and support.
