All praise goes to God, Father of our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. He is the Father of compassion, the God of all comfort. He consoles us as we endure the pain and hardship of life so that we may draw from His comfort and share it with others in their own struggles. For even as His suffering continues to flood over us, through the Anointed we experience the wealth of His comfort just the same.

Whether or not you’ve been able to find blessings in the pandemic, you have to admit - it has overstayed its welcome! The verse above has been a favourite of mine, and 2022, five weeks in, has already brought promise and surprise to my life.

I’m excited to share the news that I’ve been invited to serve as TBM Director. TBM stands for Toronto Baptist Ministries, actually an association of the Baptist churches all across the GTA. As well as playing a key role in the Ordination process and offering grants for local missional outreach, TBM organizes and oversees Cluster Groups that provide pastoral care … to GTA pastors.

We have never needed one another’s prayers and fellowship more. I was surprised to be offered the role, and full of the promise that He that began a good work in us will be faithful to complete it! If you have any questions, or just want to talk about it - let me know. It’s a part time position so I still have plenty of time for all of you!
