On this first Sunday of Pentecost we look to the Gospel of John where Jesus comes to his disciples who are huddled behind closed doors in fear and discouragement. Jesus comes bringing peace and breathes the Holy Spirit upon them so that they may move beyond fear to embrace a place of confidence, compassion, and re-creation.
