The writer of Hebrews emphasizes that believers are 'sharers' in the great work of Christ. We are not simply observers but active participants in the unveiling of God's kingdom. As such, the Preacher exhorts us to take our priestly vocation seriously so that others may see our Leader more clearly. Whatever we do - we are not to "turn away from the living God!" Rather, we are called to persevere through all of life's challenges reaffirming our "great Yes" to the God of our salvation.
