The Book of Acts can also be known as "The Acts of the Holy Spirit". The Holy Spirit is the unseen principle actor in the story of the birth of the church. We hear of Peter and Paul's exploits (and are grateful for them) but the driving force behind it all is the Holy Spirit of God. And it is the very same situation in the church of Christ today. The Holy Spirit is the Prime Mover behind all good things that the Church manifests.
To this end in these next weeks we will consider stories from the Book of Acts detailing God's Spirit in action in the expanding Church of Christ.
