The message of Advent is a celebration of the truth that God has come close to us in his son, Jesus. God is not a distant God and does not want a long distance relationship with us. Instead God draws near to us in Jesus and indwells us through the intimacy of the Holy Spirit. the incarnation is a celebration of the indescribable gift of Jesus bearing the image of the nearness of God.
