John provides a unique lens in his description of Jesus and the incarnation story. Jesus is presented as the 'Logos' who is eternally present with the Father and who breaks into our world in the birth of Jesus. In this presentation the divinity and humanity of Jesus is proclaimed which becomes the basis for our salvation and our hope for eternal life.
