God is not simply a Deist God who created the world and now simply observes it from a distance. Rather, God is a God who personally engages his people and is active in his creation. We see this engagement with his people in the dialogue between the Lord and Moses and the subsequent liberation of Israel from the oppressive regime of Pharaoh. God continues to intersect with his people today and partners with us in our everyday work for his kingdom. It is the dynamic synergy between us and our Creator that infuses our lives with meaning and purpose.
