God's desire is to establish a kingdom of love on planet earth. He does so by creating a people of love who both love him and their neighbour. Love is the keystone. Love is to be the foundation which grounds all of our activities and aspirations. The challenge we face is that too often we choose self-interest rather than the well-being of others. As Edward Farrell reminds us we are to turn the "I" of live to the "O" of love - when we do this God's love and shalom are truly established.
