The story of Jonah tells us that God loves both the "insider" and the "outsider" - he loves the entire world - cows and all! The question is not about God's love, it is about Jonah's failure to love. Lamentably, we often fall into the same category as Jonah - happy to receive God's love but not so happy to pass it on.
