The Temptation of Christ

The temptation or testing of Jesus in the wilderness is an attempt of the evil one to dissuade Christ from pursuing his mission from the Father. In a similar way we are also tested in our journey of faith and are called to perseverance and obedience to stay the course and keep willing one thing in our pursuit of the Kingdom of God.
