Jesus equates eternal life with the experience of knowing God. Not knowing about him as a theory but truly knowing him in our day to day reality. When we know him in this manner we enter the eternal embrace of our Triune God. Indeed, he comes toward us so that we might know him in our totality - body, soul, and mind.
