Jesus rides into Jerusalem mounted on a donkey which symbolizes his nature as a gentle humble and suffering Messiah. The general public does not perceive the ‘messiahship’ of Jesus, asking the question, “Who is this one?” We also have to come to terms with the ‘messiahship’ of Christ – do we open or close our hearts to the man from Galilee?
