Jesus continues his development of the ‘I Am” statements in John's Gospel by announcing that he is “the way, the truth and the life” as he dialogues with his disciples in the upper room. The invitation for us is to understand how this image fits in with the six other “I Am” statements, and then to apply its meaning to our own journey of faith. As we do so, we will be encouraged and strengthened as we live out our faith in our every day lives.
