In this season of Lent we are invited to remember Jesus and what he has done for us through his life, death and resurrection. We are called to remember- 'member again' - Jesus and our relationship with him. It is so easy to forget what is essential to our Christian vocation by all of the distractions, anxieties and busyness that we carry in our day to day experience. With this in mind we are encouraged to hear a central message of Deuteronomy: "One does not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord." (Deuteronomy 8:3)
We are called to remember that there is more to life than simply getting ahead - let's recommit ourselves to follow our Lord with passion, purpose and power.
