We speak about the 'Gospel of Mark' but it is more accurately called 'The Gospel of God' (Mark 1:14). These writings tell the story of the Good News of God as seen in the life of Jesus Christ his Son. In the first chapter we hear about the true identity of Jesus, the challenges he faced, and the message of shalom which he brought to humanity. In this story we also discover our true selves while journeying through our own wilderness experience. Together with Christ we are strengthened by the Good News of abundant life, compassionate love and the shalom of God.
